June 24, 2020 - Blisters fixed - Painting beginning - Marina Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

I learned from Ed today that the surveyor would not have found the blisters as they were covered with several coats of epoxy paint.  Only after he had started sanding off the paint, and getting to the gelcoat, did they become apparent.

The repaired spots are getting primer applied as well as locations that the supports will be repositioned.  The rudder illustrates the paint application with the primer laid down, a layer of blue paint so you know when the top coat is thinning, and of course the black top coat paint.

The old stabilizers are also getting a paint job.  Expect to get repair parts ordered today for re-installation of the old fins for the journey to Seattle where they will get a serious overhaul by S-3 Marine.

It is great to see the boat beginning to be returned to the preferred state!
