July 15, 2020 - Hallelujah - Third attempt at delivery ...... - Marina Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico

Third attempt at delivery by FedEx - MADE IT!  Our new Amartech shaft seal system is in a stout wooden crate that is 7' long and weighs 138 lbs!  It was collected on June 25 in Sliedrecht, Netherlands and has now been delivered in San Diego on July 15.

Next step is to cross the border, clear Mexican customs and then ship it down to Puerto Vallarta.  Flying may be an option if AeroMexico does not object to the length.  Typically 2 meters is their max and this crate is 2.11 meters in length.  Otherwise we will be trucking it down from Tijuana.

Meanwhile, things at the boat continue to progress as the new prop shaft is ready, rudder bearing and seals are set, all awaiting arrival of the new Amartech shaft seal system.

Other accomplishments include painting the fwd head wall (after removal of shelves) and detailing the generator base pan.

Apparently FedEx was having trouble on the prior deliveries getting the truck to this loading dock!
