Steady progress with the rudder hung, new rudder bearing and seals installed (with an auxiliary seal) and the rudder shoe attached. Ed continues to complete the final list of projects such as replacing the engine raw water pump impeller and adding bleed lines to the A/C pumps.
Next to go is detailing of the crash compartment where the bow thruster grounding wire overheated and sealing up the fittings in the swim step.
Nikolay has his travel plans and will arrive Friday at 12:34 pm. Will splash the boat either Friday or Saturday, perform a sea trial and depart for home.
Our guardian angel is still watching over us even while the boat is hauled. Ed tells me that this boat yard is one of the few that is now open along the Mexican coast as others along the coast are closed due to COVID. The boat yard is now filling up with more boats. And checking our favorite anchorages in the Pacific Northwest via AIS, we find that they are packed with boats. So, while testing our patience, it is good timing to get all of these issues worked out on Raven. Ed's taking good care of the boat, the boat yard is open, and we are not anchored in a crowd of other boats.
