January 26, 2021 - What's happened for the last month?

After getting our galley countertop polished we took Raven out for a cruise.  We wanted to head up to Roche for New Year's but decided the winds, tides and limited daylight hours were making it difficult to make the trip and get back for our next appointments.  So we took off over to Bainbridge and anchored out for a night and tied up at our QCYC Yacht Club Outstation for a few days.  We enjoyed our time there with a quiet New Year's celebration.

We came back to Elliott Bay Marina to meet with S-3 Maritime for a sea trail of our new stabilizers.  While there we enjoyed a Fire Boat cruise-by and a view of the city as we were tied up at the end of N-Dock.

After our sea trial we headed for the locks to proceed with the next set of repairs, new dryer, swim step repair, water maker repair and hydronic heat.  While en-route we heard a big thump, however we could not identify the source ......

As we pulled into the Ballard Locks, one of the lock masters said we had a log on our bow!  I thought they were kidding until we took a look ....  YEAP - there it was.  For the last couple of miles this log sat on our bulbous bow as we made our way to the locks where the lock masters pulled it off the bow and out of the locks.

Onto Miller and Miller where we completed the dryer installation and had a template made of our swim step for a new teak deck from Teak Decking Systems in Florida.

Now we are now at Yacht Services Northwest where we are improving the water maker intake and starting the hydronic heat installation.  We plan to be done by the end of February/early March in time to get ready to head north to Alaska in April!

The list is finally getting smaller ......
