July 17, 2021- Gambier Bay

We left Thomas Bay, heading up Frederick Sound, spotting another bergy bit, and made our way to Stephens Passage.  We passed through Cleveland Passage to check it out for anchoring, looked okay, had another boat at anchor, decided to move on.

Stephens Passage was calm with little wind.  As we motored along, we came across seals AND two humpback whales!  We slowed to give them way and to try for photos.

We resumed our route to Gambier Bay and found it to be lovely, with a spectacular view of the mountains, and no other boats in sight (except one fish boat)!  Update, we just had four river otters swim by to Chock Island.
