August 19, 2021 - Ketchikan

In the terms of Carl, this was a Haida Gwaii day!

Firmed up a float plan to take us to Bulhead Cove and on to Cow Bay Marina in Prince Rupert – we had a good weather window to make the crossing and decided to depart ASAP.  Robin, at Cow Bay Marina, was very helpful and informative about clearing customs at the dock.

We started by being first in line to get our COVID test (negative).  From there we went to the A&P for a pit stop and found good wi-fi enabling Lois to send her finished presentation.  Also, picked up a few additional groceries while at the A&P.  Next to Bar Harbor office to close out our one night of moorage at dock 9 slip 20.  Easy departure at 1:15 pm and on to Petro Marine to pick up 678 gallons of diesel @ $2.89/gallon.  After waiting our turn in queue and then a slow fill on both tanks we departed at 3:30 PM for Bulhead Cove.

Special mention: we ran into Orions Star and Ocean Suite again.  Our first meeting was in Ketchikan and here we are again!  Randy and Judy Harley, Joe, and Lynn.
