 August 3, 2020 - Tenakee Springs

As we entered Tenakee Inlet we dropped crab pots then headed to Tenakee Springs where we tied to the dock and Carl took the breakwater allowing us to have the preferred spot.  We had a lovely dinner aboard Ellipsis along with good conversation.

The next morning, we headed over to retrieve our crab pots where we had over 14 crab in the pot!  So heavy, I could barely pull it into the tender.  We sorted through the crab keeping only the three largest all of which were about 8” across!  It was the most amazing experience crabbing!

We returned, cleaned, and cooked crab, and took a walk to the general store which was well stocked.

Our biggest challenge at the dock was the wind shift and speed in the afternoon coming out of the SW at 15 kts in the afternoon – otherwise – a wonderful site to stay.
