August 29 to September 1, 2021 - Everett
We departed Russel Island early and transited towards Roche Harbor as we contacted CBP for our clearance number. Once cleared, we headed down Haro Strait, crossing the Strait of Juan de Fuca, and down into Admiralty Inlet to Everett. Other than a bit of fog near Point Wilson, an easy transit arriving at Everett on the 29th of August.
We had leased out our slip for the month of August, anticipating a late September return. With our early return, we moored at the guest dock while Jim and Rosy Addington of Sea Venture (54’ Cheoy Lee LRT) finished up for their August 31 departure to San Francisco and south.

It was with bitter-sweet feelings to finish up this cruise. We have been gone for 2 months, covering 2,481 nautical miles (347 engine hours). Our most extreme latitude and longitude achieved in Glacier Bay, with our northernmost latitude of 59° 02.369’ at the Grand Pacific Glacier, and our most western longitude at the Johns Hopkins Glacier of 137° 02.622’.
Epilogue: our early return for the medical check-up for Lois was positive. The MRI did not indicate any follow-on issues from the February surgery and the problem that she was experiencing was a bacterial infection at the suture sight which is being treated with antibiotics. If all progresses well, we will head out for another 3-week cruise.
