September 24 and September 25, 2021 - Roche Harbor, San Juan Islands

September 24 and September 25, 2021 - Roche Harbor, San Juan Islands

Our departure from Stuart Island started out in the fog providing a shrouded view of Turn Point Lighthouse.  En-route to Roche the fog lifted and we were treated to a sunny day.  We made a detour to Garrison Bay and walked the grounds of English Camp.

From Garrison Bay, we headed to Roche where we had a lovely evening; dinner at McMillans, a beautiful sunset along with the Colors Ceremony.

The next day Marty and Beth caught their flight back to Renton, and on to Spokane.  As we remained debating our next destination, as we had planned another week out, we checked the weather:

Weather Synopsis/Conditions:  Onshore flow will continue through today.   A front will move through the waters Sunday with another front moving through Monday and a third front moving through Wednesday.

Given a week of rain and wind, we made the decision to head back to Everett and wrap up the week with a closing sunny day.

  1. We passed you on September 25th when we were heading to Roche Harbour. We were on a chartered Selene, Velvet Moose, and I took a couple of pictures. If you would like them I can send via email. My email is recbrewer@yahoo.com.
