April 3, 2022 - Custom Fish Table
Last year we planned to fish and in preparation had acquired a small fish cleaning table which could be attached to one of our Scotty down rigger mounts. With our haul of three halibuts and a salmon, we have realized that it was too small to be functional. The process began to redesign and come up with a new fish table that was larger.
I re-engineered the concept on how to quick mount a fish table to one of our Scotty mounts, leaving the other available for our down rigger - port side down rigger, starboard side fish table. And working with my local TAP plastics, I had a 20" by 40", 1/2" thick, Starboard fish table made! And to the bottom of it I bolted on Scotty 6" pedestal which I can now quickly attach the table with using Scotty thumb screws.

I should mention that before I committed to this plan, I did have a demonstration article to test out the idea and dimensions.

In this photo you can see the demonstration article being modeled with the pedestal and a small piece of Starboard. With this I am able to determine that the appropriate slope is in place to facilitate draining.

In this photo of the table it can be seen that the slope will properly drain away and overboard. All that remains to be completed is the installation of support block at the staple and the edge rails as shown in the next phot.
