July 7,  2022 - Flynn Cove

Left at 7:00 AM from the dock and motored over to retrieve the one crab pot we left out from the previous days haul.  We motored out to the middle of the bay, shutdown and drifted, as we dealt with four of the five crabs before motoring on at 9:00 AM.

The water maker stopped working after some quick investigation realized that the pre-filter needed cleaning.  So, while cleaning Lois was busy cooking the crab that had been cleaned, Geary got busy cleaning the pre-filter.

As we turned up Chatham Strait and came to Iyuokeen Cove, we came across more whales feeding!  There were already boats there and we had a ways to go so we motored past in calm winds and water.  Entering Icy Strait, calm conditions continued with an uneventful cruise to Flynn Cove.
