August 24,  2022 - Walsh Cove Marine Park

We left Toba and fished off Elizabeth Island near slack tide - no luck.  We started towards Waddington Channel when we noticed the engine room bilge pump light was on.  Upon inspection we learned that the water intake hose to the 25 kW had chaffed and developed a leak.  With that situation under control, we headed for Waddington Channel to check out Walsh Cove.  We followed Peregrine into the cove who had anchored in the middle, and we anchored to the side.  As more boats pulled in, we decided to use our stern tie to minimize our swing.

This was a nice cove to anchor, and we had a good row around Gorges Islands.  Throughout the day more boats arrived with 9 of the 12 boats stern tied.

After exchanging e-mails with Ron & Gretchen, we decided we would meet them in Squirrel Cove.
