August 30,  2022 - Roche Harbor

We decided to head for Roche Harbor early to increase our chances of getting a slip, making it easier to get to and from McMillan’s for dinner.  As we completed the CBP Roam app, we mistakenly checked the wrong box regarding food we had on board and promptly received a call.  We correctly disclosed our food and were given clearance after receiving a lecture.  We pulled into Roche and were given a nice slip for a three day stay.

We had a relaxing time doing some cleaning and paperwork.  Carl and Melody came over from Ellipsis, which was anchored in Garrison Bay for an afternoon visit.  We had a lovely time catching up.  Lois fixed some kabobs for a diner before they had to leave at dusk.

The next day we waked the village area, picking up a few items from the stores, when we noticed Lynn Thomson on her OA, Raven, at the fuel dock.  We stopped by for a quick hello as they were getting ready to leave.  We wrapped up the stay with a lovely dinner at McMillan’s.  Next morning it was a breakfast at the Lime Kiln Café and off we went.

Always nice to visit Roche Harbor, ending our trip where it began!
