August 4,  2022 - Waddington Bay

We fished along Boyles Point in Wells Passage.  Lois had one hit, but it got away.  We also had another close whale encounter, surfacing ~100’ off the bow and then along the stern.  After a couple of hours of trolling along the shore, we thought it time to move along and headed towards Eden Island.  Winds had gusted up to 30 kts along Boyles Point subsequently we were looking for protection.  Unfortunately, the Unnamed Anchorage on Eden Island was too small and had crab pot floats in key anchoring locations.

We pressed on to Waddington Bay where we were able to anchor between two boats.  Eventually there were a total of six boats in the bay and still room for a few more.  We later found two boats rafted together, tucked in, on the west side of the small island.  We experienced wind gusts in the bay pushing us around, but they eventually settled for the night.

The next day we were both able to get a row in before heading out to our next anchorage.
