May 9 - 15, 2023 - Coal Harbour Marina

We repositioned to Coal Harbour as Burrard was having their Sailpast and needed the dock space for the club members.  We needed a place where we could leave the boat for a few days as Lois was headed to Madrid from Vancouver and Geary was headed home for a short visit.  After tying up at the dock (D1) it was a quick walk up to the train station to check out the distance and on the way back we took in Flying Over Canada at Canada Place.  The next morning it was off to the train station and the airport.

Upon returning on the13th, the boat got a bath, barbeque cleaned, and some maintenance actions were completed:

·      Added 1 gallon of oil to engine

·      Cleaned water maker pre filter

·      Cleaned 25 kW sea strainer

·      Maretron MBB300 S/W update (attempted to set GPS instance with Ron)

·      Attempted Equalization cycle on house batteries (31V for a brief period)

·      Cleaning of the starboard hull – polish compound and Awlcare

Christine sent flowers for Mother’s Day.  I was able to use the same vase we had from Mother’s Day in Florida.  That night was a lovely dinner at Riley’s Steak and Seafood before leaving the next day.
