July 21, 2023 - Tenakee Springs

We departed, after pulling up the kayaks and rowboat in a heavy rain and headed to Tenakee Springs where we dropped the crab pots and then rafted to SaltHeart in Kadashan Bay.  As we let the pots soak, Dean and Theresa gave us a sweet anniversary serenade along with a brownie treat.  As dinner drew near it was time to check the pots and we had a total of five crabs; two that were 8 ½”, one 8”, one 7 ½” and one female (released).  This made for a fine crab dinner and another lovely evening.  From our anchorage, we could see bear roaming the shore along with eagles and were treated to a lovely sunset.
