July 31, 2023 - Sandborn Chanal

We took a leisurely start to the day, getting a shower in before we departed under low clouds/misty conditions.  We made our way down Stephens Passage with slightly improving conditions.  En-route, we had Dahls Porpoise come along side and ride in our wake – amazing animals as they are so fast and maneuverable.  Arriving at Sandborn Canal, we found the bay to be strung with crab pots making anchorage a challenge.  We settled in towards the middle of the canal and had a nice shrimp dinner (courtesy of SaltHeart).  Shortly after we had finished dinner, SaltHeart pulled in and anchored north of us reporting that Tim had caught a king and coho salmon.

The next morning, before our departure, a load of laundry was washed!!
