August 3, 2023 - St. John Harbor

We left, with Moonstruck, on the afternoon high tide and headed down the Wrangell Narrows.  As we exited the narrows into Sumner Strait we could see one boat at anchor, and by the time we made the crossing to St. John Harbor there were two more boats in the harbor, both taking our preferred locations.  We attempted to split the difference between the two boats and concluded it would be too tight, particularly when one of the boats, Teak and Holly, turned on their radar.  We repositioned near Southerly Island in ~90’ of water.  Once settled Moonstruck rafted and we enjoyed a lovely dinner aboard Raven with fun conversation.
