June 22, 2024 - San Juan Islands

We returned to the location where we caught “Walter”, the big halibut the got away, and started fishing at noon.  By 1:00 we had caught two halibut, a 33” by Lois and a 37” by Justin.  With those two catches, we decided we had enough fish and called it.  Given the calm conditions we decided to anchor in the San Juan Islands for the night.  Enroute, we came across a raft of sea otters and the next morning a mother with her pup could be seen swimming near the boat!  That afternoon Geary took to cleaning the fish as Justin took in some good drone footage.  And to finish off the day Lois made a wonderful halibut dinner.
