We decided to forego Rebecca Spit and position near Campbell River as the forecasted winds would be building over the next few days. Unfortunately, our slip was not available, so we anchored across Discovery Passage giving us a quick, and short, run to the marina for the next day. There was a seal keeping us company, staying close to the boat, and even perhaps passing under the boat as we may have seen him on sonar. Nearby we had the 41-meter sloop, Destination, being checked out by a couple of other smaller sailboats.
