We pulled into the marina with SE wind gusts up to 25 kts, carefully, backing into the wind to tie up at K19. Soon after settling in, I had a call from Rob at Ocean Pacific Marine that our parts had arrived, a replacement oil dip tube and nut. The schedule called for the work to be performed on Wednesday giving me Tuesday to perform oil and filter changes on the generators and set the main up for an oil change after replacing the failed dip tube. During the evening and through the night we had another rainstorm giving Raven a good rinse.
Tuesday was spent draining oil and replacing oil filters on the generators. And replacing the oil filter on the main engine. Also, a bit of reprovisioning was accomplished along with a lunch at a nearby restaurant. During the afternoon, a Bayliner 4788 pull in at the next finger pier and had a tough time – strong winds out of the SE. They found themselves sideways in-between the fingers, bumping into one boat and fending off another boat. Lots of yelling with help rushing over to help with their dock lines. No serious injuries.
Wednesday, Brian arrived to install the replacement parts. As he completed the new install, Geary drained the main engine oil to remove any residual FOD in the oil. Brian also helped with fuel filter changes and the engine heat exchanger zinc. All working well! Dinner tonight at Harbor Grill where Scott was able to seat us at our favorite table, no. 13.
