October 13, 2024 - Bellingham
As we prepared to depart La Conner, we watched a beautiful small boat name Båten prepare to depart. Talking with the captain, we learned this boat was built by Jensen shipyards in Friday Harbor – possibly the last boat built there.
In contrast, as we made our way up the Swinomish Channel, we came across a salvage crew working on a sunken fishing boat near the train trestle.
Otherwise, our cruise to Bellingham was uneventful on a beautiful day.
