October 18 - November 19, 2024 - Everett: Haul Out

We got an early start for our trip back to Everett as we planned a haul-out to address bottom paint, hull buffing and cap rail paint repairs.  The cruise was uneventful under a cloudy sky arriving with time to spare for our haul out.

Definitely a good time to haul as bottom paint needed attention due to a loose electrical bond at the starboard engine raw water inlet (the paint was being sacrificed like a zinc) and wear along the bulb.  And all the raw water inlets needed cleaning to remove marine growth.  The prop speed treatment of the running gear was also in need of refreshing.  Inspection inside of the bulb reveals minimal marine growth with silt accumulation.
