July 12, 2025 - Takatz

Leaving Honey Dew, in the rain, we had calm seas and winds.  Approaching Point Gardner (Frederick Sound and Chatham Strait intersection) the winds and sea state picked up.  Once around the corner, conditions settled, and we had calm conditions again.  As we neared Takatz, we spied Salt Heart approaching.  We both decided to fish for salmon – no luck – so we headed in to drop anchor.  Salt Heart fished for a bit longer and managed to bring up a nice size halibut.  For diner, Theresa fixed halibut and Lois had the salad.  Then it was on to Mexican Train with Tim winning again.  Beth, Nancy and Theresa in the middle with Lois, Geary and Dean coming in with high scores.
