July 18, 2025 - Bartlett Cove

Earlier in the week we contacted Glacier Bay National Park and were granted a short notice permit (#23358) for July 19 – 23.  We have also been granted a conditional travel permit to arrive early to attend the required orientation at Bartlett Cove Visitor Information Station.  After attending the orientation, we had a nice lunch at the lodge, and a treat.  A porcupine (Einstein) climbing a tree could be seen!  After lunch it was a tour of the Visitor Center, a short walk along the Forest Trail, a visit to the humpback whale exhibit, and then back to the boat for a brief rest before heading back to the lodge for dinner.  All in all – a great stop and shore tour.
