August 2 - 3, 2025 - Petersburg

Pulling up the anchor, we were loaded with kelp – took 10 minutes to clear from the anchor.  Finally, under way, we headed out to Frederick Sound where we found patchy fog, with occasional views of the mountains.  Easy cruise to Petersburg arriving at slack to make our docking.  Checked out the town, with a visit to Salty Girl, and pizza delivered from Studebakers.

The next day we woke to rain and in need of transportation to the airport.  Fortunately, City Cab was able to take us to the airport, grocery store, and back to the boat.  Other option would be the PIA Tribal Bus.  Boat maintenance was also performed cleaning five sea strainers, one water maker pre filter and one sump pump filter.  With plenty of water and power, we also took care of several loads of laundry along with other cleaning chores.  All in all, Jennifer had a successful and enjoyable trip!
