August 7 - 9, 2025 - Prince Rupert
Departed Bullhead along with Melissa Lynn under good conditions, which improved to glass as we approached Dixon Entrance all the way to Prince Rupert where we were going to wait out weather conditions. Arriving in Prince Rupert we called customs, and the conversation went well. However, four CBSA agents were sent down to meet us at the dock – too much wine onboard and had to pay duty on 18 bottles: $214 CAD/$156 USD. In addition, some of the officers were in training – we made a good training exercise for the officers. Russ and Missy stopped by from Melissa Lynn and we had a nice chat while Lois was with the customs officers paying the duty.
Friday was a busy day as we connected with Bob and Suzy, from Suzy Q, for lunch and had good conversation about fishing and boating. Then we took a short walk to visit a local fishing store. The afternoon was spent reprovisioning before we were having dinner with Russ and Missy at the Wheelhouse Brewing Company.
Saturday was haircut day for Lois (after three prior cancelations) and another trip to the store wrapping up with a birthday dinner at The Waterfront Restaurant in the Crest Hotel.
